Celebrating Scotland's Sharks - join us on 10th-11th May at Loch Lomond Sea Life Aquarium

This two day event, featuring CMBB's Dr Lea-Anne Henry, will be held at the Sea Life Aquarium at Loch Lomond on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th May 2014.

This exciting new event will aim to showcase the amazing efforts to conserve sharks, skates and rays in Scotland and give people the opportunity to explore and appreciate the complex and amazing world of these beautiful animals.

The Sea Life Aquarium will be transformed for the weekend into a place of celebration for all things Shark, Skate and Ray and will comprise of a wide range of exciting, interactive and unforgettable experiences to raise awareness about the wide range of shark species in Scotland and the challenges they are facing. From shark touch tanks, talks from scientists and shark egg hunts to 30ft shark inflatable’s, games and videos to crafts and puzzles for the whole family! There is sure to be something for everyone.

When thinking of marine conservation, the negatives associated with our uses of this unfamiliar environment are all too often the focus; this event will be a celebration and will offer anyone and everyone a chance to join in, contribute and help make a difference.
